ZEAL ASSOCIATES · CLAIM GUIDE
Help with denied or underpaid property claims
A denial and an insufficient payment are different problems. Understanding the insurer’s stated position is the starting point for a useful review.
If your claim was denied
Keep the denial letter and every relevant claim communication. The stated reason may relate to coverage, cause, timing, documentation, or another issue. A disagreement with the decision alone does not establish coverage; connect your concerns to the policy and the available evidence.
If the payment seems insufficient
Compare the insurer’s estimate with repair estimates and the actual damage records. Identify specific differences in the affected areas, quantities, materials, and repair scope. A difference between an estimate and a payment does not by itself show the claim was mishandled; ask for the breakdown and explanation.
Prepare the records for review
Gather the policy, insurer estimate, payment explanation, denial letter if applicable, photographs, inspection reports, repair estimates, and claim timeline. Tell us about any previous work, previous losses, or representatives involved so we can understand the history.
Discuss options without assumptions
Available next steps depend on the policy, claim history, deadlines, and the facts. Contacting Zeal does not automatically reopen a claim or preserve a deadline. We can discuss our role and review the information; legal advice and legal representation require an attorney.
Start with a conversation
You do not need a complete file to ask for help. Tell us whether the claim is new, pending, denied, or paid, and what concerns you. Representation begins only after the appropriate agreement is completed. No increase in payment is guaranteed.
General preparation information, not legal advice. Coverage and outcomes depend on the policy and facts. Contacting Zeal does not replace policy obligations or establish representation.
